Rakhiv forestry had their permits for hazardous work revoked

For repeated violations of the legislation on industrial safety and labor protection, the permits for logging operations, timber trailing and operation of vehicles, previously issued to the state enterprise "Rakhiv forestry", have been revoked.
According the head of the regional department of the State Committee of Ukraine for Industrial Safety, Labor Protection and Mining Control in Transcarpathian region Mykhailo Savaryn, they were forced to resort to such extraordinary measure due to the death of a worker of the Rakhiv forestry during logging operations. Since the beginning of the year, at the specified enterprise two accidents with fatalities have occurred – on February 17 and on November 1. Therefore, in accordance with Art. 21 of the Law of Ukraine "On Labour Protection" and item 17 "The procedure for issuance of permits to perform high risk work and the operation (use) of high risk vehicles, machinery, and equipment", due to repeated violations of the legislation on labor protection and industrial safety during logging operations and timber trailing the permits dd. 29.12.2011 № 208 11.21 and dd. 29.12.2011 № 209 11.21 have been revoked – reported the Regional Department of the State Committee of Ukraine for Industrial Safety, Labor Protection and Mining Control in Transcarpathian region.
