Transcarpathian specialized prosecutors, during the check of compliance with the environmental legislation in Uzhgorod military forestry, detected illegal mining of mineral recources of national importance.
It was established that at the end of August 2013, a citizen B. broke the rules of the natural recources protection. In the area of forest fund of Uzhgorod military forestry, the said citizen organized illegal mining of andesite, which is a mineral of national importance.
The State Environmental Inspectorate in Transcarpathian region made the calculation of losses. The total amount of damages caused to the state by unauthorized use of subsoil is more than 10,000 UAH.
Transcarpathian Prosecutors to oversee the observance of laws in the defense sector registered a criminal case over the illegal mining of mineral recources of national importance in the Unified register of pre-trial investigations.
September 6, 2013, the criminal proceeding was referred to the Investigation Department of the Office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Transcarpathian region – Mykola Hutsulyak, spokesman for the prosecutor of the Western region of Ukraine to oversee the observance of laws in the defense sector reported.
