Prosecutors, out! 5 local prosecution offices will be formed in Transcarpathia, the candidates will be “filtered”

Resctructuring in the law enforcement agencies Transcarpathia. As a result of the reform, 5 local prosecution offices will remain in the region – Uzhgorod, Mukachevo, Tyachiv, Khust and Beregovo.

On Tuesday, September 29, Volodymyr Yanko, the prosecutor of Transcarpathian region reported that this model would be introduced in December and that the competitions for positions in the local prosecutor’s offices are ongoing. They are selecting heads, first deputy heads and deputy heads, and not only prosecutors can take part in it. They plan to consider practicing lawers with work experience of at least 5 years. However, the first stage of the selection has already taken place. The last one will be held online.

In December all city, district and interdistrict prosecutor’s offices in Ukraine will be eliminated. Those, who will not pass the selection to the updated structure, will be dismissed as the staff is to be reduced significantly.
