July 17. in the Transcarpathian Regional Art Museum, there will be a retrospective exhibition of the "Association of professional artists of Transcarpathia." This was the topic of the press conference on the presentation of the book-album to the 25th anniversary of the Union.
The organization was established in 1989 at the art-production plant at the initiative of Emma Levadska. At the time of registration, the Union had about 100 members. The first exhibition was held in Prague where all exhibits were left. Today, the Union consists of about 30 artists, who make common collegial decisions together.
"Currently, we plan to make a chamber exhibition of decorative art and graphics – the head of the decorative and applied art section Emma Levadska says. – We are trying to contact other unions in Ukraine and in Transcarpathia, and exhibit not only contemporary works, but also those from previous years."
The book, which was presented at a press conference, had been planned to be published at the expense of the Union, but due to the difficult economic situation, the financial assistance had been provided by the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration. The album features works of the art organization members over the past decade, and the circulation is 400 copies.
