Precious history. Transcarpathian Regional Local Lore Museum has a calendar with its treasures (PHOTOS)

The most valuable exhibits of the priceless collection of the main museum in Transcarpathia adorned a wall calendar for 2019.

It is called "Precious history" and shows really great things. Some of those exhibits have never been shown to visitors or have been shown only during special events. And the cover features the items that are shown for the first time, they have never been on display. Those are gold decorations from the treasure of the 16th-17th centuries found in the village of Palad-Komarivtsi (Uzhgorod district) in 2017: a sew-on piece for women’s headwear and a ring.

The stylish design of the calendar was developed by designer Oleg Olashin. The calendar was printed by the "Lira" publishing center, and it is nice that such a high quality was achieved in Uzhgorod. The calendar was commissioned by the "Uzhhorodsky Zamok" LLC, the purpose of the project is to motivate people to study the history of Transcarpathia and visit its most interesting locations, including the castle of the ancient fortress, the heart of the city.
