Portnov: it will be easy to agree with the criminal investigators

In the new Criminal Procedure Code the conspiracy with the criminal investigators is legalized. The Head of the Main Judicial System Department of President Administration Andriy Portnov said so at the ‘Shuster live’ show’s live broadcast, KP reports.

The agreement with the criminal investigators is possible when there are no victims and the person under investigation is willing to share additional information having admitted his own guilt and having notified the police of his partners in crime and help to expose a more serious organized crime group. ‘And then, after arrangement with investigation he can claim to reduce the prison term,’ – informed Andriy Portnov. But at the same time he emphasized that the agreement is impossible when there are victims. In addition, the agreement can be broken at any moment.
