Pogorelov wants entrepreneurs to pay more for garbage removal

City Council member Andriy Pogorelov believes that entrepreneurs who work around the clock should pay more for garbage removal.

"As you know, the approvals for non-stop trading are provided in Uzhgorod at meetings of the municipality. Recently, the City Council received the letter from the "AVE-Uzhgorod". It said that some commercial establishments of the city, working non-stop, accumulate significantly more waste, although the agreements on waste removal are concluded under general conditions. Therefore, they pay less.

In light of this facts, the parliamentary committee on housing and utilities, urban planning, architecture and ecology (the chairman of the committee – Andriy Pogorelov), at yesterday’s meeting, instructed the city Business and Economics Office and the Trade Department to work out amendments to the Rules of beautification of the city. The point is to demand additional documents from establishments, requesting permissions to trade around the clock, to make sure they take care not only about their own interests, but also take into account the cleanliness and environment" – the publication "7 Dniv" reported.
