At the regular session of Uzhgorod city council, the mayor Pogorelov will offer the deputies to save the city water company from bankruptcy by taking a loan in amount of half a million hryvnias for one year in one of the commercial banks. In the explanation to the decision, it is stated that the loan should be taken to ensure settlements with suppliers and timely payment of wages and taxes.
It is expected that the public utility "Production department of the water supply and sewage service of Uzhgorod" will receive the loan in the form of an overdraft with overall limit of 500,000 UAH in the "A-Bank" PJSC. Property rights of the water utility to the company’s proceeds for provision of services will be transferred as a pledge.
