Phones crooks cheated an Uzhgorod resident out of 10,000 UAH

Yesterday, a laboratory assistant of the water utility reported to law enforcement officers of the regional center that a man had called on her cell phone from an unidentified number and imitating the voice of her 33-year-old son said that he was at the police. Then, another man who introduced himself as the investigator, confirmed that her son had been arrested for drug trafficking and said that in order to release him she had to transfer 10,000 UAH to a bank card account. The woman tranferred 10,000 UAH to the account, and then called her son, who said that he had not been arrested.
