Cases of drunk driving were recorded in Uzhgorod, Tyachiv, Vynogradiv, Irshava, Rakhiv and Khust districts.
On Saturday, in the village of Vylok in Vynogradiv district, the police officers stopped a car "Volkswagen Golf" which was moving without lights on. The car was driven by a 53-year-old resident of the city of Vynogradiv, who had no driver’s license and was intoxicated.
In Tyachiv, the police officers stopped a car GAZ-2410. The "Volga" was driven by a 27-year-old local resident, who had no driver’s license, showed signs of intoxication, but refused to undergo medical examination.
Two drunken drivers were detained over the weekend by Irshava police. On Sunday evening, Irshava police received an anonymous report that a drunk driver in a "BMW" was driving around the city. The offender was stopped on Hrushevsky street, the foreign registered car was driven by a 57-year-old local resident who had obvious signs of intoxication. As it turned out, the man was caught on drunk driving for the second time. Four months ago, his driving license was seized, the man paid a fine of 10,200 UAH. This time, the offender was taken to the district hospital, where 1.6 ppm of alcohol was found in his blood.
The second drunk driver was detained on Shevchenko street in Irshava at night. The police stopped a moped "Honda" without license plates. The moped was driven by a drunk 21-year-old resident of the village of Bilky in Irshava district, who had no driver’s license. In the hospital, 0.3 ppm of alcohol was found in his blood.
In Khust, a car "Mersedes Vito" did not stop on the legal demand of the police and began to flee. It was caught up on the outskirts of the city. The minibus was driven by a 35-year-old resident of the village of Vyshkovo in Khust district. The driver was intoxicated, the Drager recorded 2.7 ppm of alcohol in his blood.
In the village of Kholmok in Uzhgorod district, at night, the police stopped a VAZ-2102 driven by a drunk 53-year-old resident of the village Tarnivtsi. The driver was taken to the regional drug clinic, where 1.3 ppm of alcohol was found in his blood.
In the village of Kobyletska Polyana in Rakhiv district, at night, the police officers stopped a speeder bike "Yamaha". The motorcycle did not have license plates, the driver was not wearing a helmet and had violated traffic rules. The motorcycle was driven by a 25-year-old local resident. The driver was drunk, but refused to undergo medical examination. He had no driver’s license. The bike was seized from the offender and taken to the police impound lot.
The police will send all the reports about the offenses to district courts, that will adopt the final decisions on the offenders.
