On October 19, in the atrium of the Transcarpathian Hungarian Institute in Beregovo, 781 businessmen from Transcarpathia signed contracts for financing of their own businesses with the charity fund "Egan Ede", the Mukachevo.net informed.
As you know, the program of entrepreneurship support and development in Transcarpathia has been funded by the Government of Hungary for several years.
The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Hungary Levente Magyar, who was present at the meeting, said that over the past two years, the government of the neighboring country has provided almost 17 billion forints to support the economy of Transcarpathia.
– Given the current difficult situation of the Hungarian community, you can expect even more support in the future," – Levente Magyar said.
In his speech, he mentioned that, unfortunately, the program was subjected to attacks because of "the spread of false information that it was used to finance some separatist activities."
– I want to assure everyone that the investigation about this program has been going on for more than half a year, but during this period not a single suspicion was raised, so it clearly proves that all the rumors were completely unfounded," – the Hungarian state minister emphasized.
He also assured that Hungary is interested in a strong Ukraine:
The amount of grants from the "Egan Ede" program is on average 2-3 million forints (6300-9400 euros) and more.
