Over the past 24 hrs, residents of Uzhgorod, Mukachevo, Velyky Berezny, Beregovo, Svalyava, Khust and Tyachiv districts handed over rifles and gas pistols to the Transcarpathian police. Transcarpathians voluntarily handed over to the police 15 hunting rifles and 2 gas pistols within the framework of the "Month of voluntary surrender of weapons".
Three men appealed to Uzhgorod Police Department to get rid of unregistered weapons. 56, 36 and 39-year-old residents of Uzhgorod brought to the police unregistered hunting rifles that they had inherited.
Three other persons handed over weapons to the Uzhgorod district police department.
In Svalyava district, local residents brought to the police three units of weapons.
Three other citizens, within the framework of the "Month of voluntary surrender of weapons", turned to the Beregovo Police Department, one of them was a resident of the village of Kvasovo, and the other two were residents of the district center.
Two residents of Khust district handed over hunting weapons. A 31-year-old resident of Boronyava decided to register a rifle that he inherited. A 28-year-old resident of the village of Krainykovo appealed with the same request.
A 57-year-old resident of the village of Stavne brought to the Velyky Berezny police station an old and corroded rifle. The man said that he had found the weapon near the Uzh river, when he was walking with his dog. In Tyachiv district, two persons turned to the police with the intent to hand over their weapons. A resident of the village of Ruske Pole brought a gas pistol, and a resident of the village of Lopukhiv came to the police with a hunting gun for disposal on his own birthday.
Another gas pistol was brought to the Mukachevo district police department for disposal by a resident of Chynadiyevo. The man has permit for the weapon, but because of a technical malfunction he decided to get rid of it.
