At the invitation of the Association of Ukrainianists in the Czech Republic, known Transcarpathian writer Miroslav Dochynets delivered a lecture at the Philological Faculty of Charles University in Prague.
The planned hour meeting lasted for two hours and a half. The public, scholars, students, writers were actively asking about the literary process in Ukraine, the status of the writer in general and, of course, the recent developments of the political struggle in the country. At the request of the audience, the writer told in detail about the "spirit and letter" of his writing, the high status of word, the lexicography of texts, and what is "one of the main characters" of his works.
In conclusion, M. Dochynets read an excerpt from the new book "Svitovan." A postgraduate student of the Institute of World Literature Axel Evrukh admitted that in his thesis on motivations in literature he studies, among other things, the works of M. Dochynets. Then a queue for autographed books formed.
For the guest from Ukraine, they organized trips to museums and galleries. They visited graves of Karel Capek, Jan Neruda, Bozhena Nemtsova. Transcarpathian fraternity invited him to a party in the recently opened authentic Hutsul restaurant "Goverla". The writer joined a procession in the center of Prague in support of Euromaidan. And also he gave an extended interview to the reporter of the radio "Svoboda" Oksana Pelenska.
