One-third of Ukrainians spend money abroad for cold treatment

As tour operators say, vast majority of cases for travel insurance are related to climate changes, time zones, or the peculiarities of the local cuisine. However, experts refute this stereotype, writes Obozrevatel.

Tourists turn to doctors, mostly with a bad cold. For example, in the favorite vacation spots of Ukrainian tourists, such cases happen in 33% of cases. The second place take strains, bruises and injuries – 32%.

However, statistics show that in the mountains 53% cases are connected with a cold and only 17% of tourists come to see doctors because of injuries. 26% of our compatriots suffer from gastrointestinal disorders.

A percentage of insurance claims in exotic locations is similar: at the 1st place – colds (51%), 2nd – traumas (19%), and 14% – digestive diseases.
