On May 5, near the village of Perechin and Zarychevo of Perechyn district Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) detained two vehicles in which there were four Somali citizens without any documents and five local residents. The miscreants were transporting illegal immigrants in their car boots.
It was found that the organizer and his four accomplices had intended to smuggle foreigners beyond the point of crossing the Ukrainian-Slovak border.
Among the detainees there is a former law enforcement officer, who, for money, was carrying in his car two Somali citizens.
SSU investigators in Transcarpathian region initiated a criminal case under Part 2 Art.332 of Criminal Code of Ukraine for smuggling persons across the state border of Ukraine, done on preliminary arrangement by a group of people. Now the detainees are under arrest. The prosecution is continuing – the press center of SSU informs.
