On the last Friday of May, a traditional charity ball will take place in the regional state administration

This year’s cultural and artistic event dedicated to the Day of Europe and the International Children’s Day will be held at the atrium of the Regional State Administration on May 31. Representatives of business and politics, artists, patrons were invited at the charity ball and the auction of works by children from the Vilshany orphanage.

The traditions of charity are as old as the traditions of holding balls. The charity ball "European Spring" was held in our region for the first time on May 20, 2016.   Then, more than 60 thousand hryvnias was raised during the auction. In 2017, the charity event coincided with the granting of the visa-free regime with the European Union. The second "European Spring" in Uzhgorod raised almost 155 thousand hryvnias. In 2018, more than 170 thousand hryvnias was raised at the art charity event dedicated to the International Children’s Day. The money was used for the needs of boarding school pupils.

In addition to the auction, the program of the event includes the performance of the actors of the Khust Theater of Drama and Comedy (head – Vasyl Snitar), show from the Transcarpathian school of models "A’STAR" and designer Oksana Vasilyan, music performed by the symphony orchestra of the Transcarpathian Regional Philharmonic under the direction of the Honored Artist of Ukraine, conductor Viktoriya Svalyavchik-Tsanko; jazz music performed by the Big Band "Uzhgorod" of the Uzhgorod Musical College (artistic director – Honored Worker of Culture of Ukraine Oleksandr Ukhach) and, of course, dancing.
