This friday, September 8, on the occasion of the Day of Physical Education and Sports a large-scale sports festival will take place on Narodna Square in Uzhgorod. Throughout the day – from 9 am to 7 pm – a sports camp will be located in front of the building of the Regional State Administration, where each federation and sports society will present demonstrative performances and master classes.
Representatives of each sport will have their own separate space at the festival: racetracks, boxing ring, gymnastic equipment, equipment for fencers, basketball players, weightlifters. On the territory of the festival, there will also be thematic tents with information about the type of activity, etc. Fans of active recreation will be able to test themselves in sports competitions.
The line-up of the participants and the solemn part, during which the best athletes and coaches will be awarded, will begin at 12.00. After that, there will be master classes from famous athletes, open training sessions, and so on.
In connection with the celebration of the Day of Physical Education and Sports, traffic on Narodna Square on September 8th will be blocked.
