Officers of the Hungarian National Tax and Customs Service found 75,000 packs of contraband cigarettes using X-rays. This was reported by the site szon.hu.
During an X-ray inspection of a van that arrived from Ukraine, officers of the NAV (Hungarian Tax and Customs Service) detected suspicious packages. Therefore, they were inspected more thoroughly. They contained 75,000 packs of cigarettes without required tax documents.
The preliminary value of the contraband is 88 million forints (about 1 million hryvnias), employees of the NAV opened a criminal case against the driver for tax fraud.
