On the border with Hungary, border guards had to use weapons again

A local resident reported to the Department of Border Guard Service "Luzhanka" the information about possible illegal activity near the border.  

Arriving at the scene of the alleged offense, border guards found a person moving with a bag in the direction of the border.

    After noticing the border guards, the unknown man threw off his bag and attacked a border guard trying to inflict him physical blows. During the confrontation, the border guard used a device for shooting rubber bullets "Fort 12R" and made a warning shot in the air. The offender tried to escape, and then border guards had to make a shot in the direction of the fugitive. The man was arrested and taken to the Border Guard Service unit.

The detainee had no documents, but during the interrogation reported that he was a national of Ukraine and resided in the city of Beregovo. In his bag, they found 480 packs of cigarettes. Reports on administrative offenses under Part 1 of Art.204-1 and 185-10 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offences were drawn up against the citizen.

   This fact was reported to the competent authorities.
