On New Year’s Eve, Transcarpathian will have to pay for taxi twice as much

It was reported  by several city taxi services of Uzhgorod, Mukachevo, Beregovo and Vynogradiv, the Mukachevo.net wrote.

Operator of the Mukachevo taxi service told that they would be working on New Year’s Eve, but there will be a break from 23:00 to 01:00, and then the carriers will be taking double fare until 08:00 in the morning. 

Although, taxi drivers say, considering that the standard fare is 35 hryvnia, not everyone is willing to pay the double fare of 70 hryvnia. 

– When people hear the price, they say that they rather go on foot, – one of the taxi drivers says. 

Drivers say that not everyone agrees to work on New Year’s Eve, because in most cases they have to drive drunken people, who can be aggressive or puke right in the car…

The same situation is in Uzhgorod, only the break will be from 23:30 to 00:30. Of course, double fare.
