Ukraine has resumed physical supply of natural gas through Hungary and Poland on April 9 in the total volume of about 3.1 million cubic meters.
This was announced by the spokesperson of the gas transmission system operator "Ukrtransgaz" Maxim Bieliavsky.
"According to available information, on April 9, gas supplies from Poland and Hungary were: 2.4 and 0.7 million cubic meters of natural gas, respectively. Daily deliveries of natural gas from Slovakia are steady – about 38 million cubic meters of gas," – Bieliavsky said.
He said that the "Ukrtransgaz" every day receives nominations (applications) for the supply of gas by this route, but gas is physically delivered when, according to applications, there is a volume sufficient for technical measurement.
"The situation regarding gas supplies from Poland and Hungary is as follows. We receive daily nominations for this route, we put nominated amounts on operating balance account; as soon as there is a sufficient amount of gas, which makes it possible to do the technical measurement of gas, physical gas supply will be carried out in accordance with the amount accumulated over a certain time," – Bieliavsky said.
According to him, on 9 and 10 of April, gas has been physically supplied to Ukrainian GTS on these two routes. In total, from 1 to 9 of April, Ukraine received from Europe 361 million cubic meters of gas.
As reported, on April 8, gas from Poland and Hungary was not physically supplied to Ukraine’s gas transportation system.
