Oleksandr Ledyda officially introduced the new rector of UzhNU Fedir Vashchuk

The official presentation of the newly appointed rector of UzhNU Fedir Vashchuk takes place at Transcarpathian Regional Administration. 

Opening the meeting, attended by the staff of UzhNU and journalists, the head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Oleksandr Ledyda said: "I would like to announce the Order № 412-K of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of Ukraine dated 24.11.2012 appointing Vashchuk Fedir, PhD, Professor as the Rector of the Uzhgorod National University. 

He will occupy the postition for seven years, from 24.11.2012 to 11.24.2019 according to the Law of Ukraine "On Higher Education". 

Ledyda also said that the election determined no loser and no winner, but the tasks put before the higher education of Transcarpathia. 

Congratulating the newly appointed rector, O. Ledyda said: "Higher education is the foundation of our society, the youth receives it in our university. So we need to work on its development. In the future, we are facing difficult challenges. 

As for the support of the university by the government of Uzhgorod and Transcarpathia – I guarantee this support. 

I greet you and I am sure that those tasks that you voiced at the meetings, at the conference of the staff, will be fulfilled and our university will become one of the examples of higher education development in Ukraine," – said the head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration.
