Officials estimate that in December pensions of Transcarpathians increased by an average of one hundred hryvnia

In December, pensions of Transcarpathians were recalculated due to the increased cost of living. As a result, the amount of payments for 211 thousand pensioners increased by an average of 108 UAH. This was reported during a briefing in the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration by the head of the Pension Fund of Ukraine in Transcarpathian region Anastasia Pentek.

The amount of pension for women, who took advantage of early retirement at the age of 55, was also revised. "Working pensioners, whose pensions exceed 150 percent of the cost of living, are paid 85 percent of the designated amount. But this amount must be no less than 150 percent of the cost of living, which now amounts to 1,870 UAH.  This rule will apply during 2017", – A. Pentek informed.

The official also informed about legislative changes to the pension system. As of the first of January next year, the maximum pension amount shall not exceed 10,740 UAH. And a worker’s salary per month can not be less than the minimum wage – 3,200 UAH.
