One of the symbols of the Party of Regions, which used to be in the heart of Uzhgorod – on the "cross", which is a traditional meeting place for townspeople, has been destroyed.
Today, on the initiative of activists the sign "Young Regions" on the so-called "time capsule" was erased.
It was installed at the intersection of Korzo and Voloshin streets on Independence Day, a few years ago with the permission of the city government by representatives of the mentioned political force.
Since then, Uzhgorod residents have repeatedly stressed on the need to dismantle the plate and even to dig out the "capsule".
Moreover, there is even the decision of the executive committee of the City Council. However, representatives of the city authorities did not attend the today’s event. And since activists are not authorized to dismantle anything, they just erased the sign on the metal plate.
