On May 8, representatives of the Russian bike club "Night Wolves" arrived to Bratislava. There on the Slavin hill, where Soviet soldiers killed in the battles for the Slovak capital are buried, they deployed the flags of the so-called DPR. They were accompanied by employees of the Russian consulate.
Because of that, a fight almost started, since local Ukrainians with the flags of the EU and Ukraine also came to the memorial.
"Night Wolves" make similar provocations in European countries almost every year. Therefore, the State Border Guard Service toughened the security on the border on the eve of the Day of Victory over Nazism.
In particular, it is reported that special measures are being taken to prevent the import of weapons, ammunition, explosives, and other means of terror into Ukraine, as well as entry into Ukraine or transit of persons with separatist and extremist sentiments that may destabilize the situation in our country. This applies in particular to motorcyclists who are members the "Night Wolves" biker club and their adherents from the so-called self-proclaimed DPR / LPR.
Border guards reported that no organized groups of bikers or even single motorcyclists crossed the state border during Easter and May holidays. However, there may be attempts by individual representatives of the mentioned and other radical biker clubs to enter the territory of Ukraine alone or in small groups under the guise of tourists and to engage in provocative actions.
Therefore, people who are aggressively opposed to Ukraine, expressing dissatisfaction with the Ukrainian authorities, carrying Russian flags, pro-Russian symbols, St. George ribbons will not be allowed to cross the border.
Recall that the president of Slovakia Andrei Kiska last year stated that bikers from the Russian club "Night Wolves" were involved in the annexation of the Ukrainian Crimea.
