Daily train "Mukachevo-Budapest" is launching!

The first trip of the train №33 / 34 Mukachevo-Budapest will take place on December 9th this year, the ticket will cost about 23 EUR, the trip will take about 7 hours. This was announced by Yevhen Kravtsov, the head of the "Ukrzaliznytsya" PJSC on his Facebook page:

"Now it's official.

The long-awaited first trip "Mukachevo-Budapest" will take part on December 9 this year. It will be a daily direct train. The rolling stock belongs to the Hungarian railways. For our part, we built a separate platform, repaired the track, signaling and communication equipment.

The train makes a trip in about 6 hours. One of the benefits is no need of technical operations for narrow-gauge tracks. This saves time.

We have great plans for Mukachevo. There, we have an advanced railway network covering all regions of Ukraine, and a network of trains to the EU will allow us to create a powerful hub for such transportation.

We are currently in talks with colleagues from the Czech Republic and Slovakia to launch a train to Prague."
