The Cedar Reserve "Gorgany and Tavpishyrka" is a unique natural corner, located at an altitude of 1370 meters above sea level in the Brustury Forestry Enterprise, the press service of the Transcarpathian Regional Forest and Hunting Range Administration says. The foresters say that cedars are more than 300 years old. The reserve has a scientific value and the main task of local foresters is preservation of the unique nature. "The land of the "Brustury forestry" nature reserve fund occupy 7% of the total area of the forest-farming enterprise. And this is 2,800 hectares of protective forests, recreational forests and the forests of nature protection, scientific, historical and cultural value. The forest massifs of the state forestry enterprise includes several objects of the nature reserve fund, including objects of the state significance is "Gorgany and Tavpishyrka", "Gladyn", "Kedrinsky", as well as objects of local significance – "Arshichna", "Yavirnyk", "Bertyanyk". In the Hrunykiv Forestry, there is a buffer zone adjoining the Carpathian Biosphere Reserve with an area of 2126 hectares", – Mykhailo Bihun, the Director of the Brustury Forestry Enterprise says. And one of the most unique ones, worth paying special attention to, is a state-owned nature reserve "Gorgany and Tavpishyrka". The reserve is located in the Plai forestry on the Tavpishyrka ridge. The total area of the cedar forest is 248 hectares. The reservation is located on the territory of Tyachiv district and borders on Bohorodchany and Rozhnyativ districts of Ivano-Frankivsk region.
