The pedestrian crossing point "Lubnya – Wolosate" will be open for five days. This checkpoint will be functioning from May 1 to May 5 from 8:00 to 20:00.
The initiative was implemented within the framework of the "Days of Ukraine and Poland Neighborliness", which are held in Transcarpathian region (Ukraine) and Podkarpackie Voivodeship (Poland). This time it is dedicated to the 15th anniversary of Poland’s accession to the European Union, the press service of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration informed.
Another reason is to study the potential of a tourist flow with the prospect of opening a full-fledged crossing point.
This location has long been regarded as the most promising point for a full-fledged checkpoint, which would be the first on the Ukrainian-Polish border within Transcarpathian region.
Citizens with biometric passport or Schengen visa will be able to cross the border.
