Challenge #Gift_Vest_Save_Life_and_Health has started in Vynogradiv district.
During several days, people raised funds and purchased 500 reflective vests. They were distributed to road users in the villages of Vylok, Nove Selo, Ruska Dolyna, at the turn to the village of Fanchikovo, the village of Pidvynogradiv – on the most dangerous part of the M-23 road.
“One of the most common accidents is running over pedestrians and cyclists in the dark. Unfortunately, they do not wear reflective elements, which can lead to problems not only for them, but for drivers too. In the neighboring countries of Europe, wearing a vest is mandatory and failure to do so is punishable by law. I am preparing a parliamentary appeal to the people’s deputies on amending the current legislation and I hope that the relevant decision will be adopted by the Verkhovna Rada soon,” – the organizer of the campaign Roman Furman, a member of the Transcarpathian Regional Council, commented.
With this campaign, its participants are showing an example of how you can reduce the number of accidents and save lives. As is the case in challenges, the video was posted on social networks, and the residents of Vynogradiv district challenged like-minded people from other settlements, in particular residents of the village of Rakoshino in Mukachevo district, where there is a high accident rate.
