National guardsmen from Uzhgorod were ensuring order during the qualifying matches of the Ukrainian national team for Euro 2020

Two matches of the fourth qualifying round for the Europe 2020 Championship took place at the stadium Lviv-Arena. Ukrainian national team played with the teams from Serbia and Luxembourg. Each of the matches was attended by more than 35 thousand fans.

In total, more than 2000 law enforcement officers were engaged in ensuring public order. In particular, those were officers of the police, special battalion and the National Guard. Among them, there were guardsmen from Uzhgorod, who serve in the 2nd Battalion of the 2nd Galician Brigade.

 "Our main task was to ensure public order and safety of the fans, – Oleg Savich, the Brigade deputy commander for public safety said. –  Our men were used in the territory around and on the first line of the stadium. There were also on-foot patrols on the streets leading to the stadium, where the guards were performing tasks with police officers."
