He is considered one of the most prominent composers in the history of mankind and an unsurpassed master of polyphony and counterpoint. J.S. Bach (1685-1750) wrote over 1000 compositions, including cantatas, masses, oratories, organ, clavier, orchestral, chamber, vocal pieces – the composer dabbled in all existing musical genres, except opera. In the XVII century, people in Germany joked: "Every Bach is a musician, every musician is Bach." The maestro had 20 children in two marriages. Only seven of them survived, but they also became musicians continuing their family tradition.
