Mukachevo medical industry has received additional funding

In Mukachevo, additional funds have been allocated for the treatment of patients with diabetes mellitus and for the treatment of local residents at the M. Amosov institute.

In Mukachevo, amendments were made to the program of free and preferential drug dispensing – the corresponding decision was made at the regular session of the city council. The city received a subsidy of UAH 100,000 from the state budget to provide patients with diabetes with insulin. Today, there are more than two and a half thousand people suffering from diabetes in the city, almost four hundred people are insulin-dependent, more than two thousand people receive antihypertensive drugs. 
Also, the funding for program of the free heart surgeries for residents of Mukachevo at the Amosov Cardiovascular Surgery Institute was increased by UAH 500,000. Since the beginning of this year, eight residents of Mukachevo have undergone heart surgeries at the Amosov Institute, over one million hryvnias has been spent from the local budget for that.
