MPs suggest to introduce criminal responsibility for the use of devices that reduce meter readings

3 deputies of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, suggest the Parliament to introduce criminal liability for the manufacture and sale of devices that reduce readings of electric and thermal energy meters. This is stated in the bill №3819, registered in the Parliament on January 26, the Censor.NET informs with reference to the Ukrainski Novyny.
 
 In particular, it is proposed to punish for the production, sale or use of devices that reduce readings of electrical or thermal energy meters with a fine of up to 500 tax-free minimum incomes, or correctional labor for up to 2 years.
 
 And to punish for the same actions committed repeatedly, by prior agreement by a group or an official with abuse of office with a fine of 500 to 1000 tax-free minimum incomes or imprisonment for up to 5 years.
 
 The authors of the document are Yakiv Bezbakh, Eduard Matviychuk (both – independent) and Ruslan Solvar (fraction "Bloc of Petro Poroshenko").
