Uzhgorod district court judges considered the suspects’ defenders’ motion for the recusal of the investigating judge, who was considering the request on imposing of pre-trial restraint in the from of detention on the suspects.
Recall, as previously reported, lawyers of the suspects Malkovich V, Tishchenko S. and Okorkov A. filed the motion for recusal of the judge.
During the consideration of the motion, representatives of Uzhgorod city and district court heard the arguments of the defense and the objections of the prosecution against the said motion which they consider to be baseless.
So, Uzhgorod district court judges, not having found convincing arguments that would prove the impartiality of the investigating judge considering the request for pre-trial restraint regarding the suspects of the hooligan actions near the "Dragobrat", dismissed the motion for the recusal of the said judge.
Thus, the request for pre-trial restraint in the form of detention will be considered by the same judge.
Meanwhile, after the announcement of the court decision on dismissal of the motion for recusal, the suspect Okorkov A. was transported to a healthcare institution to provide medical assistance.
