Moskal: “During the first eight hours of the visa-free regime, one hundred Ukrainians entered the EU through Transcarpathia. The most popular destination is Hungary”

Starting from 00.00 to 08.00, on June 11, one hundred Ukrainians entered the EU countries through Transcarpathia with biometric passports (ie without Schengen visas).

– The most popular destination was Hungary – 89 people (67 through the international checkpoint "Tisa" and 22 – through "Luzhanka") – Hennadiy Moskal said. – Six tourists crossed the Ukrainian-Slovak border through the checkpoint "Uzhgorod", and another five went to Romania through the checkpoint "Solotvyno."

There were no conflicts or rejection during the border crossing, so the first 8 hours of the visa-free regime went great! Interestingly, the traffic across the state border remains the same as in the visa regime. However, this is just the first day of visa-free regime, and later an increase in tourist traffic by about 30 percent is expected.
