As we reported, yesterday, a protest rally took place on Narodna Square, during which the protesters burned old tires and promised to stand on the square all night.
This morning, we visited the place. During this time, according to the press service of the Regional State Administration, "the leadership of the Regional State Administration, the Transcarpathian Customs, the Main Office of the National Police, the Chop and Mukachevo border guard detachments met with the representatives of the owners of cars with foreign registration to resolve, as far as possible, the problem of crossing the border by cars with EU license plates… Today, at 12.00, the Transcarpathian Customs will give answers to these questions to representatives of the owners of cars with foreign registration, and at 15.00 will tell in detail about the implementation of the new law at a briefing for the media."
At this time, it is unknown what will happen. As we can see in the photos, there is a fairly large pile of old tires ready for burning, the metal remains of the yesterday’s bonfire mixed with rubbish. About 30 people are discussing the situation, cooking food, warming up at metal barrels, and broadcasting on the Internet.
We will be following the events…
