More beauties have appeared in Uzhgorod. Do not give them bread!

We have already informed that beautiful swans have come to Uzhgorod again.

This time, there are not three (as in the last year) but six of them: 3 gray and 3 white. They are staying in the shallow Uzh river, particularly near the vehicle and pedestrian bridges.

Beautiful!

But we remind you that experts do not advise to feed the birds. As long as they have enough natural food (aquatic plants), they stay there, and then they fly to another place. 

Do not forget that bakery is not a natural food for birds, it is not digested by their stomachs properly and may cause liver disorder. This threat is particularly relevant, in case when birds eat only bread because the water is frozen, or due to other inability to get natural food. Under these conditions, a bird liver disorder can occur on the second week after eating bread. Ornithologists advise to feed the swans grains and vegetables – beet, cucumbers, cabbage and so on.
