Mobilized citizens can not be fired! – prosecutors

Prosecutors ask to report instances of dismissal and refusal to pay wages to citizens called up for military service due to mobilization.

Currently, prosecutors at all levels are conducting checks of compliance with the requirements of the Law of Ukraine "On Defence of Ukraine", "On mobilization preparation and mobilization," "On the Armed Forces of Ukraine" by officials of the state government, the military administration, other state agencies, local governments as well as enterprises, institutions and organizations regarding combat and mobilization readiness for protection of Ukraine and use of public funds for these purposes.

In particular, they are checking how the executive bodies, local authorities, enterprises, institutions and organizations of all forms of ownership comply with legal requirements concerning social protection of citizens drafted into military service during the mobilization, the preservation of job (position), the average wage at the enterprise, institution, organization, regardless of their subordination and forms of ownership.
