Mizhhirya deputies complain that the government drives highlanders into a life of poverty (document)

Deputies of Mizhhirya District Council appealed to the parliament and the government complaining that the adopted amendments to the Budget and Tax codes can lead to poverty in their communities. The deputies complain that the tax service can not charge property tax because of the unregulated legislation. Deputies also point out that the tax service does not control payment of tourist tax properly. In the appeal, the elected representatives ask the government to return part of the tax on personal income to village and town budgets, since in previous years, this type of revenue has accounted for 60%.
