Mission possible: in Transcarpathia the campaign "Become a Santa Claus!", within which children who need attention the most received gifts and, most importantly, faith that dreams may come true, has finished.
uzhgorod.in already reported about the unforgettable visit of Santa Claus to the children in Batyevo orphanage and the trip to the children of Mukachevo family-type children’s home and to the large family in Zabrid in Vynogradiv district.
And on the Old New Year, Santa Claus (the authorized representative of all the many who had the opportunity to become a Santa Claus!) made his last trip for this season – to Svalyava Center for Social and Psychological Rehabilitation for Minors. Kids, that are treated there, also wrote letters to Santa Claus, and adults Transcarpathians fulfilled those dreams. The institution is truly special – children who found have themselves in difficult circumstances: those who do not feel parents care, have been abused or have experienced a family tragedy, undergo nine months rehabilitation course there …
Now there are 22 children there, and they, even more than other children, need attention and faith that someone cares about them. And thus they saw that Santa Claus did not forget about them and prepared wonderful gifts. "In general, during the "Become a Santa Claus!" campaign we managed to collect gifts for 82 children. About 130 adults joined the project and became real Santa Clauses for young dreamers" – said entrepreneur Olena Zheltvay, who organized this project in the region, with thanks to all who responded and made children’s dreams come true.
And now, everything indicates that the "Become a Santa Claus!" project in Transcarpathia will go on. So – to be continued … By the way, the administration of the institution in Svalyava admitted to the friends of Santa Claus: the Center badly needs sports equipment for playing indoors in cold season, as well as developmental games and coloring books for the kids …
