The city government declared war against illegal landfills. They stress that it must be done considering the coming hot season. It concerns both dumps at various "corners" and mess around containers.
The Acting Mayor Victor Shchadey promised to deal with it in two weeks. They start on Monday. He emphasizes that he demands from AVE to take out the waste more often, but the main focus is on landfills around containers.
All Uzhgorod residents are encouraged to call the operational service of the City Council (15-67, 61-55-35), write to the mailbox (<uzhpress.service@gmail.com>) and to report "hot spots."
We already inform: the situation around the container site near the culture school (on Chelyuskintsi street) allows to grant it the title of the messiest dump in the city and it has been going on for years. In general, we promise to monitor how the promise will be fulfilled.
