Military bayonet-knife and dagger were seized qt the Ukrainian-Hungarian border

At the customs post "Tisa" on the Ukrainian-Hungarian border Chop inspectors prevented the illegal import of a military bayonet-knife and a dagger into our country by a citizen of Ukraine.

Returning home from the UK by a van, a 37-year-old resident of Ternopil during customs clearance declared only the currency and personal belongings. 

However, during the scrutiny of the luggage compartment of the vehicle, among other things customs officers found a box, which contained two items, not specified in the customs declaration and during oral questioning, that looked like a military bayonet-knife and a dagger. As the driver explained, he was carrying those items at the request of an acquaintance from London to Ternopil to give them to his daughter. 

So, for violation of the law under Article 472 of the Customs Code of Ukraine the protocol for the citizen of Ukraine was written. The found military bayonet-knife and dagger were seized, their final assessment will be carried out by specialists-experts – informed Victoria Senhetovska, spokeswoman of the Chop customs.
