Nine days before the completion of a probation sentence for causing bodily harm, a young man robbed a pensioner. For that, the young man can be sentenced to 4 to 10 years in jail.
A 65-year-old resident of Velyky Berezny district works on the field and in the house by himself.
That evening, after the hard work the owner of the house fell asleep without even undressing. He even forgot to lock the door of the house. Around midnight, he was awakened by the noise. In a moment he saw a big man with a mask on his face. The old man initially thought that it was a joke, but when the stranger began to threaten the man realized how "serious" the intentions of the intruder were. Having been hit in the face and losing consciousness, he felt that he was being searched. When he regained consciousness, he discovered that 1,200 UAH had disappeared from his pocket.
Having recovered from shock, the victim turned for help to the village head. Together they called the police.
Arriving at the scene, the police instantly checked acquaintances, friends of the victim, ex-convicts, and identified the possible robber. Then the search began. The robber was arrested by the chief of Velyky Berezny police station Victor Thomas at a local bar, where he, without feeling remorse, was partying with friends for the money taken from the pensioner.
The guy immediately confessed to the crime. Now he is held in the temporary detention center in Uzhgorod.
The investigation is ongoing.
