On Sunday, September 15 at 12:00, on the initiative of the UAnimals movement, the All-Ukrainian March for Animal Rights will be held in Uzhgorod for the third time.
Last year, the action was simultaneously held in 20 cities and brought together thousands of indifferent people from Lviv to Odesa, from Kyiv to Dnipro.
The march has 11 main demands: 1. Prohibition on the use of animals in circuses and dolphinariums. 2. Prohibition on the use of animals for begging and photo services. 3. Prohibition on training hunting centers. 4. No use of live animals for experiments, etc. 5. Development of animal rehabilitation and welfare centers for animals who have suffered from humans and their activities. 6. Prohibition on fur farms. 7. Fight against doghunters. 8. Cancellation of programs of mass killing of stray animals in Ukrainian cities. 9. Listing wild animals of the natural habitat of Ukraine on the verge of extinction in the Red Book of Ukraine. 10. Clear definition of the ownership of the animal and deprivation of such ownership as a result of ill-treatment to ensure the owners’ responsibility. 11. Establishment of animal police and the introduction of an effective system for control and punishment for animal cruelty in Ukraine. Source.
