The First Deputy Prosecutor of Transcarpathian region Ivan Kailo – ex-prosecutor of Khust district, who was lustrated on Narodna Square – is now in Kyiv.
As the Uzhgorod.in learned from its own sources, the controversial official has been "written off" in the capital. Particulary, he was transferred to an ordinary post at the General Prosecutor’s Office.
Recall that Kailo was to be checked regarding the facts of abuse, which were the reason for the negative conclusion of the Lustration committee of Transcarpathia about him.
Kailo became the second lustrated law inforcement officer in the region – after Vasyl Turday, also a native of Khust district, who was appointed as the chief policeman of the region, but then released in a short time, and the minister Avakov apologized for the hasty personnel decisions.
By the way, on the official website of the prosecutor’s office, the information on senior officers has been updated, Kailo is not in the list of current employees.
