The head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration, deputy Valeriy Lunchenko sent a telegram to the head of the government Arseniy Yatsenyuk, in which he complained about the Chop Customs Office and the Ministry of income and taxes for delays in the building of international checkpoints in Transcarpathia.
Currently, three large-scale projects to build international border crossing points are being implemented in the region – "Luzhanka", "Uzhgorod" and "Ďakovo." The project is financed from the funds of the European Union in the framework of cross-border cooperation "The European Neighbourhood and Partnership Instrument."
Although Europeans timely finance their share of the project, due to lack of funding from the Ukrainian party, the project currently is suspended. Lunchenko asked Yatsenyuk to give appropriate orders to the Ministry to resume the funding for the project.
