The head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration, deputy Valeriy Lunchenko informed the Administration of the President and the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine on disappointing situation with the financing of the "Drinking Water" program in Transcarpathian region.
Thus, in a letter, Valeriy Lunchenko states that in 2014, the region did not receive a penny out of the required 76 million hryvnias from the state budget for the implementation of the "Drinking Water of Transcarpathia" program. The program is implemented at the expense of the local budget and companies’ own funds. Overall, only this year, Transcarpathia needs more than 105 million hryvnias for the program.
Regarding the water quality, the "governor" claims that it meets the national standard "Hygienic requirements for drinking water intended for human consumption."
