Licensing fees brought to local budgets of Transcarpathia more than 10 million hryvnias

These funds were transferred by entities for licenses for manufacturing, wholesale and retail sale of alcoholic beverages and tobacco. In total, since the beginning of the year, the department for circulation control and taxation of excise goods of the Main Office of the Ministry of Income in Transcarpathian region has issued 4,072 licenses, including 2301 for the retail trade in alcoholic beverages and 1771 – in tobacco.

In order to maintain compliance with the conditions of licensing and legality of activities of entities that operate in the market of alcohol, alcoholic beverages and tobacco products, in January-July the Ministry of Income experts conducted 75 inspections. Mostly, inspectors encountered violations concerning retail trade in alcoholic beverages and tobacco products without a corresponding license (28 facts), storage of alcoholic beverages and tobacco products labelled with counterfeit excise tax stamps (16 facts), trade in alcoholic beverages at prices below the set minimum wholesale or retail selling prices (16 facts).

In January-July 2013, the specialists of the Main Office of the Ministry of Income in Transcarpathian region have issued 510 orders for revocation of licenses, including 314 for alcoholic beverages, and 196 – for tobacco.
