Recently, unknown persons torched and destroyed the monument on the Veretsky pass.
Social activist Orest Kohut in facebook expressed the initiative to restore the monument:
"Dear Friends!
There is a proposition to go on a weekend to the Veretsky pass and clean the monument that was damaged (set on fire) by unknown persons.
Who is willing to join?? Write me!"
