Legendary Transcarpathian football player has passed away

Jozsef Haila died at the age of 88. He played for Uzhgorod "Spartak". 
Jozsef Haila was born in Beregovo in 1932. At a young age, he began to play for local amateur clubs. Then, he continued his career in Uzhgorod "Spartak". Fans remember his energy, as well as the ability to score goals from corners. He ended his football career as a player of Beregovo "Kolhospnik". He had achievements of the regional level. In 2017, with the assistance of the then head of the city football federation Oleksandr Silchenko, the city hosted a tournament named after Jozsef Haila on the occasion of his 85th birthday.
